Back home in South Carolina, we grew our own potatoes. So sweet potatoes were a must on our table. They could be made into bread, fried, candied, but my favorite was to make sweet potato pie. It’s hard to keep up with the demand for Sweet Potato Pies in our Sylvia’s Restaurant™ in the heart of Harlem. You can almost smell the cinnamon as they come out of the oven. They’re "So Sweet & Fine," they go real fast.
Some like it hot. Some like it cold. Dollop it with whipped cream. Stack it with ice cream. Any way you like it, "It’s Divine!"
